Jure Jurakić

Jure was born on May 3, 2006 in Gouda (the Netherlands), in a musical family. His mother is a professional clarinetist, and his sister plays cello. Jure started taking his first piano lessons at the age of seven.
In 2014, Jure continued his musical education at the School for young Talents at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague as a student of professor Kamilla Bystrova.
In 2018 he won the second prize and the Audience prize at the Steinway piano competition. In October 2018, Jure will take part in the festival Moscow Meets Friends organized by Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation.
Jure also likes to play chamber music with various ensembles of the Conservatory. In the future, he would like to become a concert pianist.
Among his favorite composers are Beethoven, Rachmaninov and Chopin.
