The Akopian Trio — comprising three exceptionally talented brothers: Adam (17, piano), Christian (16, cello), and Emanuel (11, violin)—treats you to an unforgettable evening. Their interplay unfolds a deeply connected and personal musical story.

The Akopian Trio performs with a natural unity that can only grow from a deeply rooted connection. Their music breathes a shared sensitivity and feels like a conversation that begins even before the first note is played.

While each brother continues to develop as an individual musician, they come together time and again in the trio, where their distinct voices merge into a single musical language. It is precisely this balance between individuality and unity that creates tension, direction, and character, giving their playing its compelling intensity.

Musical Dialogue

Under the guidance of renowned teacher Mila Baslawskaya, the brothers work intensively on their ensemble playing, shaping every detail of its expression, precision, and musical tension. They study at leading institutions, including the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, the Davidsbündler Academy, and the Academy of Musical Talent, where they continue to deepen their artistic development.

All three perform regularly in concert halls and at festivals and are prizewinners of national and international competitions, including the Royal Concertgebouw Competition, the Dutch Violin Competition, the Kronberg International Piano Competition, the Princess Christina Competition, and the Britten Competitions for cello and violin. They have also appeared as soloists with the Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra and other professional ensembles.

Emanuel brings an expressive, layered sound rich in colour and nuance. Christian adds warmth and depth with a resonant, narrative quality, while Adam provides clarity, structure, and a subtle line that binds the ensemble together. Together, they create a sound world that is both transparent and richly nuanced. The result is an open musical dialogue that touches the audience and leaves a lasting impression.
